Anytime a story about Harley brings us back to mental health and her work in that field, it is a treat, and Harley Quinn the Animated Series: The Eat. Her issues go well beyond just what happened on her wedding day, and the comic takes time to address this trauma, validating the importance of mental health and tackling one of Harley's past as a psychiatrist. Her vulnerabilities are put on full display. Ivy, in particular, is the star of Harley Quinn the Animated Series: The Eat.
This is exactly the kind of love story Harley and Ivy deserve, as it's full of heart, humor, and sexy hijinks. The themes about LGBTQ+ people having each other's backs are loud and clear, which makes it easy for fans to root for the heroes. There is conflict, and the two have things to work through, but that doesn't take away from the love they feel for one another and underscores how much they care for each other. Franklin, who authored Bingo Love, does it again by highlighting the queer joy between Harley and Ivy, as well as several other characters.
